On the territory of our country hundreds of sites are pronounced for cultural monuments of national, regional and local significance. Eight of them are recognized as unique monuments of worldwide significance, a priceless possession not only for Bulgaria but also for the whole mankind. They are included in UNESCO Cultural and Natural Heritage list.

10 - DAY UNESCO Heritage

DAY 1Arrival in Sofia and accommodation.
DAY 2Sofia – visit of The Boyana Church and then Rila Monastery, an architectural monument and a treasure house of cultural and artistic valuables, included in UNESCO list. Accommodation in Samokov.
DAY 3During that day you will visit the second biggest monastery in Bulgaria - The Bachkovo Monastery. An exiting stroll along the architectural reserve “The Old Plovdiv” and accommodation in the town.
DAY 4Departure for Nesebar, one of the most ancient towns in Europe, where the group will visit the old part of the town (UNESCO). Accommodation.
DAY 5Departure for Varna. Visit of Roman Thermae built in II century, then one of the symbols of the town – The Cathedral of the Virgin Mary. You will also visit the Archeological Museum and Dolphinarium in the town. Accommodation.
DAY 6From Varna you will head for the natural phenomenon “Pobiti Kamani” /Upright Stones/, and after that for “Madara Rider”, included in UNESCO list. The next stop is the most impressive Thracian tomb found in our lands – the one near the village of Sveshtari (UNESCO). The accommodation will be in Ruse.
DAY 7Visit of The Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo (UNESCO) hewn out in the solid rock. Then you will set off for the architectural reserve Arbanasi, where the next accommodation will be.
DAY 8On the 8th day of the tour you will have the opportunity to visit Veliko Tarnovo, one of the ancient Bulgarian towns, a successor of a thousand-year old pre-historical, Thracian and Ancient culture, a center of political, business and cultural life of the Medieval Bulgarian Empire and the architectural-museum reserve Tsarevets. Next is visit to the Etar Architectural-Ethnographic Complex – Gabrovo. The aim of the museum exposition is to show the architecture, lifestyle and craftsmanship from the past of the town of Gabrovo and Gabrovo region during the Bulgarian Revival.The group will set off for Kazanlak where it will spend the night.
DAY 9In the morning the group will visit The Thracian Tomb of Kazanlak (UNESCO) and “The Museum of Rose”. Next is a visit to town-museum of Koprivshtitsa, a town that still keeps the characteristic features of the Bulgarian National Revival town, a rich history, lifestyle and folklore. Departure for Sofia.
DAY 10Transfer to Sofia Airport.
